Logo Digitizing for Production

Logo digitizing here means converting a customer-supplied logo into clean vector paths for print, signage, vinyl cutting or laser production. It does not mean embroidery digitizing; that is a separate craft with stitch files and a different production process.

A clean logo file that works on a sign, a shirt or a cutter — not just on screen.

What usually goes wrong

These are the production problems this service is built to catch. If your file has a different issue, describe it in the upload form; we will tell you whether it is fixable before quoting.

The only logo is a JPG from a website or email

It has compression artefacts, a white box or a background that cannot be printed cleanly.

The logo was rebuilt badly by someone else

Open paths, duplicate nodes and wrong letter shapes fail at the cutter or look wrong when enlarged.

The same logo is used for print and cut

A print file and a cut file need different edges and colour handling; one file cannot always serve both.

What you get

  • Clean vector logo in SVG, EPS and PDF
  • Layered colours where the artwork allows
  • Closed paths suitable for cutting
  • Outlined text or a note on font substitution
  • A production note explaining any simplification

The production check

Every file is checked against the items that matter for the stated production use. The delivery note records what was checked and any assumption we had to make.

Logo proportions match the approved reference
Paths are closed and nodes are reasonable
Text is outlined or a substitution is flagged
Colours are separated or clearly named
No background box unless requested
A cut-ready version is included when requested

Who it is for

  • Sign shops rebuilding a customer logo for large format
  • Print shops preparing a logo for screen print or DTF
  • Vinyl cutters who need closed paths
  • Brands that lost the original vector source

How the job runs

  1. Upload the artwork and tell us the use. Send the customer-supplied logo, PDF or design file, plus where it will be printed, cut, engraved or embroidered.
  2. We review it like a prepress desk. A person checks resolution, paths, fonts, colour, size and output requirements before we quote. No black-box auto-conversion.
  3. Approve the quote and turnaround. You get a fixed price for the file, not a surprise invoice. Standard turnaround is 24–48 hours after approval.
  4. Receive checked files and a delivery note. You get the production files, a before/after note and the 8-point check result. If the checked file fails, we rework it or refund it.

Pricing factors

We quote after seeing the file and the intended use. The price depends on the work, not on a flat per-format rate.

  • Number of colours and gradients:
  • Lettering and custom shapes:
  • How clean the source image is:
  • Whether print and cut versions are both needed:
  • Turnaround:

Frequently asked

Is logo digitizing the same as embroidery digitizing?+

No. Logo digitizing here means rebuilding the logo as vector paths for print, signs and cutting. Embroidery digitizing creates a stitch file for a specific fabric, size and machine. We do not mix the two.

Can you match the logo exactly?+

We match the proportions, colours and letterforms as closely as the source allows. If a brand font is unavailable, we flag a substitution rather than guessing silently.

Do I get an editable file?+

You get production-ready SVG, EPS and PDF files. Editability depends on the source and complexity; we state the level of editability in the delivery note.

Background reading: bleed in printing and crop marks.
